Breakthrough Molecular Testing
UTI Testing by PCR with Antibiotic Resistance Markers
Recurrent and complicated urinary tract infections are often caused by more than one organism, and standard culture can miss them. Our UTI panel identifies the pathogens present and the resistance genes they carry from a single urine specimen, so the first antibiotic you choose is more likely to work.
Our Advances
Advanced PCR Testing for the Rapid Identification of Complicated, Recurrent, and Persistent UTIs.

Fast and Accurate PCR
Testing Solutions
PCR testing has been shown to identify infections in 36% of the samples urine cultures showed to be negative.
Additionally, urine cultures can take up to a week to return results, whereas TLS reports PCR results within 48 hours of receipt.

How It Works
Lab Testing Easy as 1, 2, 3
STEP 1
Patient visits provider + Sample is collected
STEP 2
Sample is sent to lab + Sample is processed
STEP 3
Who orders it
Urology, primary care, long-term care, urgent care, and OB/GYN.
What it covers
The basic UTI panel covers 28 bacterial targets. The comprehensive panel adds STI pathogens and Candida species. Both include more than 40 antibiotic resistance markers.

Common questions
How is PCR different from culture?
Culture grows organisms over days and reports what grew. PCR detects organism DNA directly and is not affected by recent antibiotic use or slow-growing species.
What do resistance markers tell me?
They show genes linked to resistance against specific antibiotic classes. They guide the choice of therapy and do not replace clinical judgment.
Can I still order a culture?
Yes. Culture and sensitivity can be ordered with the panel.
